Grenadines are very versatile ties. They are associated with dandyism, but probably mainly because they are so rare. They are great for business suits. In many cases, they go better with the set (especially daytime) than shiny plain silk ties. A slight roughness does not prevent combining grenadines with worsted wool suits. But, of course, such ties can also be worn with informal sets. And I mean not only a classic blazer, but also a v-neck sweater or cardigan.
The distinctive knit-like weave of grenadine is as interesting as the printed patterns. Grenadine has a distinctly three-dimensional texture, allowing light to play interestingly on the surface. Although the tie appears matte, at times it subtly shines. This is a special effect, which is why grenadines are usually kept in conservative colors.
The possibility of combining grenadines with casual attire makes them perform similar functions to knits. These, however, are more informal, and wearing them in business situations is rather risky.
When tying a tie, remember that a square knot (four-in-hand) is always the most effective. The material used in the construction of the tie determines whether the desired knot shape can be achieved and finished with a striking teardrop. In the ties we sell, the insert is made of wool, so you should not have much difficulty when tying.
The tie, when tied, should reach the waistband.
Note: After each use, untie the knot and leave the tie hanging. This will prolong its durability, as it will not be deformed. Ties made of natural fabrics should be cleaned only with specialized dry cleaners. We discourage stain removal by home means.
